UrbanPromise Honduras is the newest branch of the non-profit organization UrbanPromise Ministries (www.urbanpromiseusa.org) and works with under-privileged children and youth in the town of Copan Ruinas, Honduras.
UrbanPromise Honduras will start running full-time in July 2009 offering:
Afterschool programs to both public and private school children. In a community that lacks opportunities and resources, the program will providing tutoring, ESL training, recreation, nutritional food, life skill development and teaching on Christian values and issues applicable to the community.
Streetleader program will develop youth into leaders by empowering them with job skills, opportunities for practice and scholarships for further education.
Summer Camps during both public and private school holidays, giving children a fun and high energy environment filled with activities.
Rural Kids program offers a variety of creative extra-curricular activities as a way of connecting with an under-resourced rural community
